
Location
Conchan
is a private pier owned by Cementos Lima. Located at playa Conchan about
25 nm south of Callao. It’s an off shore terminal in an area which has
10 miles of open sea, without geographical accidents.

Arrival
All vessels to Conchan pier must arrive first to Callao p.s. where
authorities will board the vessel for reception purposes and where pilot will
take her to Conchan. Pilotaje is compulsory steaming time Callao/Conchan
abt 3 hours.
Restrictions
Max Loa 185/190 mts – max beam 32 mts – max draft 11 mts sw. max
vessel´s dwt 38,000 mt. Vessel must have on board min 15 nylon mooring
lines in good conditions. Wire ropes as mooring lines not allowed. Vessel must have chain strands ( 11 shackles).
The pier allows ships mooring only by the west side.
Berthing
operations only allowed during daylight. Unberthing allowed atdnshinc.
Loading
The usual rate for loading bulk cement / clinker is about 8/10000 mt per day
normally performed shinc. Cargo stored at silos is discharged onto a 1 km
conveyor belt which feeds a shiploader. No cement holes are required. No
shifting required between berths.
Conditions
of Port / Swell
Master must maintain enough crew on deck to keep lines tight at all
moments. Ships must keep main engines on stand-by during operations.
During periods of strong but controllable swell, while load, a pilot must
remain on board / at the pier area at ship´s expenes. Swell can affect
Conchan pier normally for a period of 24/ 48 hrs. During winter time, from
June to August there
are more poss that swell affects loading operations.
